Following the Gospel message of reaching out to help others, the teens of St. Thomas More assist in the parish and the community.
At this time we do not have any service or outreach events planned due to Covid-19. As this changes, we will keep this page updated with any events we are able to host.
Teens gather to rake leaves of those in need in the Elgin community. Teams are put together of adults, HS and MS and houses are assigned for fall clean up and leaf raking. Youth Service Day takes place in late fall.
Teens do a walking canned food drive in local Elgin neighborhoods. All food collected will support local food pantries in need. Harvest Hike takes place in the fall each year.
Each year the youth ministry team adopts a family in need and supplies gifts for their Christmas. We gather to wrap the gifts and then go out to roll some thunder at the local bowling alley. Wrap N bowl takes place in December each year.
To support local children in need, the teens of St. Thomas More gather to create beautiful Easter baskets filled with goodies.
Each summer the PML teens have an opportunity to road trip to the local Feed My Starving Children facility to pack food for those in need. For more informaiton on FMSC click HERE
