We have been getting so many people coming to us for supplies and are seeing the need for us to do more outreach. We are currently hiring 2 outreach case managers and 1 additional regular case manager. These jobs are posted on Indeed if you know of anyone who is looking for this type of work.
I have 1 more open date this month for dinner. That day is Sat. 4/29/23. Please let me know if you can commit to bringing a meal for about 25 guests. If you have never done this before and have questions about ideas that won’t break the bank, please call, or email me for some ideas. We finally have another working warming oven that was delivered today. It was rough for a couple of weeks since we could only heat in a crockpot, microwave, and a tiny convection oven that takes forever to heat up. Our awesome neighbors sent 4 guys over to help swap them out. I love that so many people are always here to help when we need it!
Our needs list is the following individually packaged snacks (for kids to take for school snacks) like granola bars, chips, raisins, trail mix, pretzels, cookies, ramen (chicken or beef), canned fruit, toilet paper, napkins, plastic cups, foam bowls, paper bowls, paper plates, powdered lemonade, tea, Kool-aide, and powdered coffee creamer.
We are also looking to see if anyone would like to volunteer at an event on Sat. May 13th at the Arcada Theater. It’s The Phil Collins Experience and they are donating all the proceeds from the merchandise table to PADS! If you are available to help that evening, please let me know.

At PADS, we meet the basic needs of homeless individuals first. We provide a safe place to sleep, meals, showers, laundry facilities and personal hygiene products. The next step is to provide comprehensive case management.
Case managers meet with each guest and together, an action plan is created by identifying the barriers which led to the person becoming homeless. Action plans are tailored to each individual and may include money management, life skills, assistance with securing a GED, housing searches or referrals to outside services such as substance abuse or mental health counseling.
Thanks to our team, each year we have a greater than 83% exit shelter success rate which is three (3) times the national average.
Our Shelter is open 24/7.
Case management services are available:
Monday-Friday 9:00 AM- 8:00 PM;
Saturday and Sunday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
