- Stations of the Cross
  On Thursdays at 2:00pm & Fridays at 7:00pm (LIVE STREAM) during Lent, beginning March 7.
  Choral Stations of the Cross, on Friday, April 11 at 7:00 p.m.
  Lent is a time when many people make the Stations and some churches present Passion plays or Living Stations. But anyone can pray the Stations at any time. It is a simple and personal reflection on the passion of Jesus and what it means to us.
- Lenten Disciplines of Fasting and Abstinence
  
  Catholics in good health ages 18 to 59 are required to fast and to abstain from meat on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. Fasting consists of eating only one meal, with the possibility of two smaller snacks that do not add up to a single full meal. Catholics age 14 and older are to abstain from meat on all Fridays in lent.
- Fireside Chats with Fr. Pacer
  Join Fr. Pacer for a once-a-week Lenten talk series at 7:00pm on Tuesday nights, beginning March 11, in the Chelsea Room. Spend an evening learning and discussing topics that you, our parishioners, are most curious about in concerns to things of the Church. Topics will be decided at each meeting.
- Be Reconciled
  WEDNESDAY, APRIL 9
  Every church in the Rockford Diocese will be hosting Be Reconciled Day. Confessions from 9:00am - 8:00pm.

  The Sacrament of Reconciliation, also known as Confession or Penance, is a beautiful expression of the infinite mercy and love that God has for all of us. This is where we find that reconnection--reconciliation--with God and with our neighbor. no mater how long it has been since your last confession it is never too late to experience the healing and forgiveness of God.

- PABASA NG PASYON
  (Reading of the Passion)
  Every Monday of Lent beginning March 10 at 7:00PM in the Westminster Room.
  This activity will be spoken/sung in the Tagalog Language.
  
  The “Pabasa ng Pasyón” is a Philippine epic narrative of the life of Jesus Christ, focused on his Passion, Death, and Resurrection. In stanzas of five lines of eight syllables each, the standard elements of epic poetry are interwoven with a colorful, dramatic theme. The marathon chanting or pabasa (“reading”) of the entire book in a day or two is a popular Filipino Catholic devotion during the Lenten season, particularly during Holy Week. Here in St. Thomas More Church, the Filipino Community spreads the dates of chanting the “Pasyon” in Tagalog every Monday of Lent until the Grand “Pabasa.”
- Hope for Haitians
  This Lent, our faith community is focusing on almsgiving to support Haitian families living in extreme poverty. While we are blessed to live in the wealthiest nation in the Western Hemisphere, our near neighbor, Haiti—just 700 miles away—is the poorest. We encourage you to give alms in support of Hope for Haitians, a Catholic lay-founded charity in the Rockford Diocese.
  
  Starting Ash Wednesday, you’ll find donation boxes available for your contributions. Please consider making a meaningful sacrifice to support this worthy cause.
