For anyone who is hospitalized, homebound or in a nursing home and unable to come to Mass, we have a dedicated team of volunteers who gladly make it a priority to visit you! Please contact Agnes Gulik in the parish office to arrange a visitor to bring the Eucharist to you or your hopsiptal/homebound loved one. We want to help you stay connected to your family of faith and especially the Eucharist, the source and summit of our Christian lives!
Patients at St. Joseph Hospital should contact the 24 hour on duty chaplain in the Pastoral Care Office at the hospital to make arrangements for all spiritual needs.
If you are in need of a priest to visit you please contact the parish office 847.888.1682.
Volunteering For This Ministry
Volunteers visit and bring Communion to the sick in care facilities or at their homes. Volunteers can choose which of these location(s) they would like to visit. Visits to the homebound and nursing homes have flexibility with day and times of visits. Training is provided. All volunteers who bring Eucharist need to be fully initiated Catholics (have received the sacraments of Baptism, Communion, and Confirmation) and if you are a married person your marriage needs to have taken place in the Catholic Church.
Commitment: Weekly or monthly on Sundays and/or weekdays.
Coordinator: Sharon Hall [email protected]
